The Alphen offers 18 designer suites overlooking sprawling gardens. Rooms are spacious and include two bathrooms, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an iPod docking station, a minibar, and an Illy coffee machine. Each bathroom has a double basin and is stocked with Diptyque toiletries. Pillow and duvet menus are available for customized comfort.

Three on-site restaurants serve different cuisines: La Belle (Bistro & Bakery) for breakfast-try the Almond & Banana Oatmeal or buttermilk pancakes; Blanko (Italian) for dinner-the steak and hot bread with cheese dip starter are highlights; Incognito (Cocktail & Tapas Bar) offers a relaxed, jazzy vibe with zucchini fries and a wine selection. The Blanco restaurant features oysters, an excellent wine list, and attentive service.
